Mary Foster was a nineteenth-century Native Hawaiian Buddhist, philanthropist, and social activist whose history intertwines with that of Honpa Hongwanji in Hawaii.

The venue for the book signing is Pacific Buddhist Academy’s new classroom building. The school shares a temple campus with Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin.
