The Dr. Albert Miyasato Memorial Dharma Session series of Jikoen Hongwanji Mission began with Jikoen’s 70th Anniversary Buddhist Education Project in remembrance of one of the most influential leaders of our Sangha and the Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii. This seminar offers participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the teaching of Jodo Shin Buddhism. This program series provides educational and inspirational lectures presented by special Dharma teachers who allow participants to expand their experience on the Nembutsu Path.

Our 2016 Dharma teacher is Rev. Ronald Kobata of the Buddhist Church of San Francisco. We are honored to welcome him back to Hawaii. He will speak about the history of Buddhism in America and then focus on Shin Buddhism. He will also address aspects of Buddhism for people who consider themselves “spiritual but not religious.” Everyone is welcome!
