“Mindfulness in the Pure Land Path”
Rev. Fujimoto, a local boy, graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He served as an Assistant to the Buddhist Study Center Director and after Tokudo, served as an Assistant Chaplain at the Pacific Buddhist Academy. He graduated from the Institute of Buddhist Studies with a Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies. After receiving Kyoshi certification and attaining Kaikyoshi status, he was assigned to Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin as an associate minister. Rev. Fujimoto was the resident minister at Puna Hongwanji, also overseeing Pahala and Na’alehu Hongwanji. Currently, he is the resident minister at Mililani Hongwanji.
