This ceremony will include a traditional blessing and purification, special messages from community and religious leaders (including HHMH Bishop Eric Matsumoto), and youth from the YMCA of Honolulu.

The Hiroshima Peace Bell was presented by the City of Hiroshima to the City and County of Honolulu in 1985 to commemorate our sister city relationship. It has been located at and cared for by the Izumo Taisha shrine since 1990. All guests will be invited to ring the Hiroshima Peace Bell.
