The Hawaii Federation of Buddhist Women’s Associations invites all temple members and friends to join BWA in the Martin Luther King, Jr. parade on Monday, January 16, 2017.
Be festive!! Wear purple or a temple or organization shirt… help pass out origami cranes to onlookers… they love that!
BWA welcomes all temple members and friends, Dharma school students, YBA members… they are trying for their biggest unit ever! Pacific Buddhist Academy students and families will be joining the parade in force this year.
Come to Magic Island at about 8:00. Parking is limited; allow time for parking nearby and walking to the start. Carpooling is encouraged.
See you there! Watch for the sea of purple shirts!
For more information, contact Lois Toyama at 808-383-4255.
“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
