Hawaii Association of International Buddhists
9th Annual Buddha Day Celebration
“Dharma in Action”
This FREE event will be held online via Zoom videoconferencing on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 10:00am-11:30am (HST).
The Hawaii Island chapter of the Hawaii Association of International Buddhists (HAIB) presents the 9th Annual Buddha Day Celebration in honor of Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth.
Keynote speaker will be Mushim Patricia Ikeda, teacher at the East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, California.
A panel of young adult Buddhists will also share how they put Dharma into action in their lives. Panelists:
- Lisa Lassner, Triratna Buddhist Community
- Sheera Tamura, Jodo Shin Tradition
- Ryan Nakade, Integral Buddhist
A donation may be made to the Hawaii Island Food Basket to support those experiencing food insecurity in our community.
