Bishop Matsumoto to join panel discussion on “How Various Buddhist Traditions Practice the Noble Eightfold Path”

On Wednesday, February 21, Hawaii Association of International Buddhists (HAIB) presents a panel discussion on “How Various Buddhist Traditions Practice the Noble Eightfold Path” at Jodo Mission of Hawaii. The moderator will be Michel Mohr, a professor of religion at the University of Hawaii.

The panelists and the traditions they represent are as follows:

  • Bishop Eric Matsumoto (Shin/Mahayana)
  • Michael Kieran (Zen)
  • Dr. Dean Nelson (Tibetan/Shambala)
  • Gregory Pai, Ph.D. (Theravada)

The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Ikoi Hall behind the main temple. Jodo Mission is at 1429 Makiki Street, Honolulu, HI 96814 (see map).
