The new Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii Triple Celebration Commemorative gatha book, Praises of the Buddha, 5th edition, that temples ordered in June, should be available for purchase by individuals beginning December 1, 2024. A special presale price of $15 per book will be in effect from December 1, 2024, until January 31, 2025. At the end of January 2025, books will be available at the HQ Bookstore at a higher regular price.

We believe that this 5th edition Praises of the Buddha deserves the widest circulation possible as a volume unique in its extensive presentation of wonderful original gathas by HHMH composers and appealing English renditions of familiar Japanese gathas by the Translation Subcommittee of the Hawaii Kyodan Music Committee. And, of course, it includes so many favorite gathas from the past.
