POSTER CONTEST
Calling all artists and photographers!

Hongwanji Hawaii’s Commission on Buddhist Education is sponsoring a poster contest to visually express the 2027 Hongwanji theme/slogan “Nurturing Nembutsu: Living Aloha” The focus will be on “How do we live with aloha in our daily lives?”

Through your art, reflect on what it means to live with aloha each and every day.

Posters can be created using any medium (e.g., painting, drawing, digital art, photography) but must be submitted as a highresolution digital file (JPEG, PNG, or PDF). Dimensions: Standard poster size (24″ x 36″ or equivalent in digital format). Be original and do not include any copyrighted images or text.

The deadline for poster submission is October 31, 2026.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 posters. The winning entry will be displayed at all temples, Hongwanji Mission School, Pacific Buddhist Academy, Buddhist Study Center, and featured in the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii’s publications, website, and social media platforms.
