The Buddhist Study Center is hosting a Spring Festival on
Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The theme is “Appreciating Our Ohana,” with intergenerational workshops, local favorite snacks, appreciation activities, “old school” games, and much more.

- 10:10 a.m. – Gratitude Chain
Interactive activity on recognizing connection in our lives with Marcie Moribe - 10:50 a.m. – “Body and Brain Yoga”
Gentle fitness session with Roy Arakaki (Body & Brain Fitness Center) - 12:10 p.m. – Read Together
Penny Atcheson shares ways parents and children can work together through reading - 12:50 p.m. – Intergenerational Conversations
Interactive gratitude session with Terry Arakaki
Entertainment
- 9:30 a.m. – Taiko with Hyaku Sen Ki Kai (Pacific Buddhist Academy)
- 10:10 a.m. – Dancing Through the Ages
- 11:30 a.m. – Shakuhachi and koto musicians
- 1:30 p.m. – Oubaitori (Japanese and Okinawan folksongs) with Pacific Buddhist Academy

Parking available at the UH Mānoa Lower Campus parking structure
(Music Building parking availability will depend on the concert schedule and will be confirmed closer to the event).
