Professor of Religious Studies and East Asian Studies at Renison University College, Waterloo, Ontario

Dr. Jeff WilsonThis year, Dr. Wilson is also serving as the Numata Professor of Buddhist Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Dr. Wilson is the author of many books, including “Mindful America: The Mutual Transformation of Buddhist Meditation and American Culture,” “Dixie Dharma: Inside a Buddhist Temple in the American South,” and “Mourning the Unborn Dead: A Buddhist Ritual Comes to America.” He is an ordained minister in the Hongwanji tradition of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism and a member of the Toronto Buddhist Church.
