With everyone’s safety in mind, the Fujitani family has decided to cancel the Sunday, August 15 funeral service and postpone it to a time when it will be safer to gather. Thank you for your understanding.
The funeral for Reverend Yoshiaki Fujitani, the 11th Bishop of Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii, will be streamed live to the public from the Hawaii Betsuin temple on August 15 starting at 4 p.m. HST. You may watch using the YouTube player above or by visiting http://honpahi.link/fujitanifuneral.
Please note that due to COVID considerations, in-person attendance is limited to immediate family and invited relatives, friends and organization representatives only. There will be no public visitation prior to the service.
A recording of the service will be available for those who are not able to view the livestream.
