Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21st. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. In 2007, Hawaii became the first state to recognize Peace Day.

Ring Your Bell for Peace Day

There will be another “Ring Your Bell for Peace Day” event via Zoom and at participating temples and other sites on the morning of Monday, September 22. (Holding the event on a weekday makes it easier for classrooms and workplaces to participate.) A video of the 2024 event is available on YouTube.
