It is with deep sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Reverend Yoshiaki Fujitani, the 11th Bishop of the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii. Rev. Fujitani passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Kuakini Medical Center, Honolulu, HI, at the age of 97.

A funeral originally scheduled for August 15, 2021 at Hawaii Betsuin and via YouTube livestream has been canceled/postponed due to COVID-related concerns.
