About the Speaker

Reverend Yuki Sugahara was assigned by Bishop Marvin Harada as the new Rimban of the Buddhist Church of Sacramento effective summer 2023. From July 2011 until June 2017, Rev. Sugahara served as minister of the Florin Buddhist Church. Since June 2017, he has served at the Oregon Buddhist Temple in Portland, Oregon.

Rev. Sugahara was originally from the Shimane prefecture, north of Hiroshima; he comes from a family of ministers from both his mother’s and his father’s side in Japan tracing back 15 generations.

Platform: The seminar will be held via Zoom. The Kauai Hongwanji Council temples will participate from their respective temples. Please select your participation location—either your temple or Zoom—when you register for the seminar.
