From the July Headquarters Update:

The Young Adults Retreat (YAR) will be held on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1 (Labor Day), 2025 at the Buddhist Study Center.

YAR is a retreat weekend for young adults (18-32) to connect with new friends, new experiences, and new lessons from the Dharma. Rev. Blayne Nakasone Sakata will be the guest speaker, and he has bravely volunteered to “ask me anything” during the weekend.

We hope that YAR will be an opportunity for curious young adults to openly share their questions, concerns, and general wonderings about today’s world with others. We will also have activities such as a “campfire” BBQ, hiking, community service, learning workshop, and joining in with Moiliili Hongwanji’s Sunday service.
